BODEGAS SALNESUR
ESTATE BOTTLED CONDES DE ALBAREI WHITE WINES FROM RIAS BAIXAS
|
Bodegas Salnesur is located in the valley known as
O SalnČs, two kilometers away from Combados. Among those who know
the wine producing area in the Northwest corner of Spain, this is
considered to be one of the most prestigious areas for wine production
in Galicia.
Founded in 1988, our cellars were immediately equipped with the
most advanced technological equipment and we have taken great care
to hire only the most skilled personnel to work with our wines.
The winery contains 5,000 square meters of space which can accommodate
a production of 1,200,000 bottles per year of AlbariŅo wine under
the strictest quality control. This has been a major factor in allowing
us to make what has become known as one of the most renowned single
varietal wines in the world. In a Denomination of Origin where the
average winery production is about 4,000 cases per year, we are
not only one of the largest wineries, but also among the highest
rated in terms of quality year in and year out.
The success of our wine maker's in
producing such quality wines is illustrated by the fact that we are
the first white wine from Spain to be awarded the Gold Medal in VINEXPO!!!

THE VINEYARDS
Surrounded by mountains and the Umia River crossing the valley, our vineyards total 375 acres all of which are owned by us. Here, the climate is mild, but the rains are heavy. Fortunately, we receive adequate sunshine to develop our grapes to their optimum level of ripeness. Throughout the growing process, our attendants to the vineyards maintain strict control over the grapes and vines to ensure that the resulting harvest will yield the highest possible quality.
